Mandacura é uma corruptela da frase “mão da cura”, fazendo soar como uma palavra afro indígena brasileira, inspirada na poesia e música de Alberto Marques, “Mão”. Neste filme experimento técnicas de animação manuais, além da utilização de GIFs autorais criados com webcam e também found footage.

Sinopse: Como precisamos dos nossos Deuses? O que eles estão tentando nos dizer? O fim está próximo. O começo também. Um pedaço de uma era, de uma história, de uma única história? Nós. E uma mão que rege o mundo.

Mandacura is a corruptela (a linguistic distortion on writing or pronouncing) of the sentence Mão da Cura, sounding not like portuguese but as a brazilian afro-indigenous word. Mão da Cura means, literaly, Healing Hand. From Alberto Marques poetry, this videoclip shows via pixelized images and sensations what are our feelings toward society, history, culture, future. How do we need our Gods? What are they trying to tell us all? Is what society has done to our ancestral people and knowledgement a sign of an end?

 

Synopsis The end is near. And so is the beginning. A piece of an era, of a history, of one unique history? Us. And the hand that rules everything. Is the cure in peace? Or is piece part of the cure? The healing hand is using it's tools to reach the other. The healing hand needs to be heard.
