No cruzamento entre as estéticas das redes sociais e a lógica contemporânea da remixagem — em que colagem, sampleamento e apropriação se tornam estratégias centrais —, biarritzzz investiga as interseções entre linguagens, códigos e mídias. Seu trabalho opera no trânsito, na fissura e na circulação acelerada de imagens. No tríptico videoinstalativo aqui apresentado, a artista parte de fragmentos das esculturas do acervo do MASP que, ao serem recortados e recombinados, instauram novas narrativas. Mais do que reconfigurar formas, sua operação desloca significados, tensionando a percepção dos territórios geográficos e evidenciando os equívocos que frequentemente marcam a leitura ocidental sobre o continente africano e sua produção visual. Assim, o que está em jogo não é apenas uma reflexão sobre os regimes de visibilidade, mas sobre a fluidez das relações mediadas pela tecnologia e pela ancestralidade, onde a identidade se apresenta menos como uma essência fixa e mais como um campo de experiência ou em disputa.

At the intersection between social media aesthetics and contemporary remixing logic—in which collage, sampling, and appropriation become central strategies—biarritzzz investigates the intersections between languages, codes, and media. Her work operates in transit, in the fissure and accelerated circulation of images. In the video installation triptych presented here, the artist starts with fragments of sculptures from the MASP collection which, when cut out and recombined, establish new narratives. More than reconfiguring forms, her operation shifts meanings, straining the perception of geographical territories and highlighting the misconceptions that often mark the Western reading of the African continent and its visual production. Thus, what is at stake is not only a reflection on regimes of visibility, but also on the fluidity of relationships mediated by technology and ancestry, where identity presents itself less as a fixed essence and more as a field of experience or dispute.
